MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY

As a boy, my parents brought me to Sunday school and church every Sunday at our neighborhood Methodist Church.  I learned the Bible stories and even a few Bible verses by heart.  I never heard about being saved.  And any mention of the “blood of Jesus” was considered to be “slaughter house religion”–  in other words, “crude and unsophisticated.”

When I was a senior in high school, I began to seek the Lord’s will for my life.  As I read through the scriptures, I realized that I needed to give every area of my life over to the Lord.  When I did, He came in and began to direct in my life.  Pastors that I knew suggested that I major in history, which I did at West Virginia University.  While at WVU, I was active in the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and was literature chairman for several years.  It was in this group that I met my future wife, Dee.

I enjoy serving the Lord and am always looking for ways to enhance my service to Him.  I would especially like to find a career that is directly involved in calling America back to the Lord.

I believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God.
